“Every dance you make belongs to you. It is your story made visible.” — Anna Halprin
The Echo Movement Workshop is an immersive program that helps participants reconnect with both their inner selves and the natural world through embodied practice. Blending somatic movement, ecology, and group reflection, the workshop creates a space where the rhythms of the body meet the rhythms of the earth.

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” — Martha Graham
The program can take several forms depending on the needs of the group: a single-day intensive of three to five hours, a multi-week series of six to eight sessions, or a retreat format spread over two or three days in natural environments. Each version is structured around four core modules that gradually deepen the experience. The opening phase focuses on grounding and sensory awareness, where participants learn to breathe, move, and listen more attentively to the textures, sounds, and landscapes around them. From there, the practice expands into movement as ecology, exploring ways the body can mirror natural patterns of flow, balance, and growth while engaging directly with elements such as trees, stones, or water.
The third phase emphasizes collective exploration, where participants engage in group improvisations that highlight interdependence and relational movement. The final stage is devoted to integration and reflection, weaving together guided journaling, conversation, and embodied practices that participants can take back into daily life.
By the close of the workshop, participants often describe a stronger sense of embodied presence, an expanded ecological empathy, and renewed creativity in community. Many also leave with simple, body-based techniques for resilience and stress regulation, as well as a deeper feeling of belonging to the living world. Designed for adults of all ages and backgrounds, Echo Movement is accessible to everyone, regardless of dance experience. It is particularly meaningful for educators, community leaders, and wellness practitioners who are seeking new ways to bring awareness, connection, and transformation into their work.
